Artist Biography 

GTBT 갤러리는 @sexskateboards 의 디렉터이자 영국 셰필드를 기반으로 활동하는 작가 Louis Slater (b. 1982, UK)의 작업을 한국에서 처음 소개합니다. Louis Slater의 작업은 만화, 고대 이집트 이미지, 그리고 스케이트보드 그래픽에서 영향을 받아 형성된 독특한 시각 세계를 보여줍니다. 강렬한 색과 거칠고 직관적인 선, 그리고 기묘한 캐릭터들이 뒤섞인 그의 회화는 설명보다는 직접 바라보고 느껴지기를 바랍니다. 

GTBT Gallery presents the first exhibition in Korea of works by Louis Slater (b. 1982, UK), the director of the skate brand Sex Skateboards and an artist based in Sheffield, UK. His visual language draws influence from cartoons, ancient Egyptian imagery, and skateboard graphics. Through bold colors, raw and intuitive lines, and strange, playful characters, his paintings invite viewers to experience the work directly rather than through explanation.
